Pacific Area Chamber of Commerce owns the buildings at 142-146 W. St. Louis St., Pacific, MO 63069. The stone façade on 146 W. St. Louis St. is beginning to fall off the building and needs to be reapplied. We have acquired a bid from Tuck-pointing by Terry to remove the loose stones, cut out the old mortar, and reinstall the stones with existing or matching. The work will be weather sealed after completed. The bid totaled $2,967.00 and we would like to request the Façade Program to award them $1,483.00 to help complete these improvements.
Pacific Area Chamber of Commerce feels it’s important to maintain our downtown buildings and are very proud to be a building owner in downtown Pacific. We purchased the building in 2018 and have completed over $75,000 worth of improvements and upgrades (inside and out) since then. The Chamber has its office at 142 W. St. Louis St and rents the store front at 146. We rented the space at 146 to G’s Barbershop when they first opened in Pacific, bringing a new business to downtown. After a year and a half G’s had already grown their business and need more space. They have since moved into another building in downtown and the Chamber now rents the space to another new business, Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance. In order to continue to attract new businesses to downtown the buildings need to be maintained and fixed up. The Chamber is very excited about the Pacific Partnerships Façade Programs and is thankful for the opportunity to apply to help them preserve their part of Downtown Pacific.
